From 1909-1911 the American Tobacco Organization issued, throughout its sixteen distinct brands of cigarette and loose tobacco merchandise, a tobacco card set that became identified as the T206 set.
Designated T206 by Jefferson Burdick in his landmark book, The American Card Catalog, T206 became one of the most widely sought immediately after set of the period, commonly referred to as the "tobacco/pre-war" era.
